Structure, enclosure and insulation

The SISMO® building modules are more long-lasting and secure than the traditional building system.  These modules are of the highest resistance and durability.

The basic structure of the SISMO® building system is a three dimensional module made from a galvanised steel wire lattice. On the exterior sides infill panels are inserted.  These panels transform the lattice into a closed structure, which is filled with structural material. The steel wires act as armature and anchoring for the finishing material.

SISMO® uses expanded polystyrene (EPS) as insulation material, which ensures excellent sound-proofing and thermal insulation that are effective and reduce thermal bridges over a long period thanks to the internal and external layering of reinforced concrete walls.

Given the excellent installation process of polystyrene and cement, the SISMO® structure does not require to have maintenance for a very long time.

The properties of the insulating layers of the SISMO® models yield extremely effective constructions in terms of energy saving, which will therefore have a lesser impact on the environment.

SISMO®’s manufacturing process is not contaminating and does not harm the environment.  Furthermore, as a building system, it uses recycled materials in its infill panels and significantly reduces the waste generated by the building works in comparison with the traditional building methods.

Fire resistant

SISMO® is a continuous monolithic concrete system that prevents fire from spreading both vertically and horizontally.

Furthermore, the polystyrene used as insulation is self-extinguishing, which increases the system’s resistance to fire. This material is supported by the European Technical Approval (ETA 01/0001) and by its compliance with the currently effective DIN 4102 standard.
